Established in 2023, REISA is an active student-run society with the mission of bridging the gap between university students and the real estate industry with operations in both USYD and UNSW.

REISA provides a platform for students to develop practical, industry-relevant skills beyond the classroom, simulating real careers in real estate through case competitions, structured programs, and workshops.

Our flagship initiatives include a highly competitive Investment Banking Development Program delivered across two semesters, designed to equip students with the technical skills, industry insights, and preparation required to secure internship and graduate roles. This is followed by our Private Equity Development Program in Term 3, which introduces students to the private equity landscape in Australia and builds foundational knowledge of the industry. In addition, REISA hosts its flagship Real Estate Challenge Case Competition, where teams present investment recommendations on real asset acquisitions to a panel of industry professionals, culminating in a cross-university final at UNSW.

Throughout the year, we also deliver a range of targeted workshops and internal member exclusive roundups to continuously upskill members of REISA.

REISA connects university students with leading real estate firms to build their professional networks and maximise exposure to internship and graduate opportunities. Our flagship event is the Real Estate Careers Night, bringing together top-tier firms and a curated cohort of high-achieving students from the University of Sydney, the University of New South Wales, and the University of Technology Sydney. Attendees engage directly with analysts, associates, and senior executives across investment, advisory, and development, gaining insights into day-to-day roles, recruitment pathways, and career opportunities. A comprehensive Careers Night Student Guide is also published to introduce participating firms and outline their internship and graduate programs.

REISA also runs the long-standing Women in Real Estate Mentor Program, which pairs aspiring female professionals with experienced industry mentors for personalised guidance over six months. Through one-on-one mentoring, participants gain practical advice, industry knowledge, and meaningful connections to support their transition into the sector.

Throughout the year, REISA additionally hosts targeted networking events, panel discussions, and employer engagement sessions that provide students with direct access to industry professionals and insights into diverse career pathways within real estate.
